Introducing Zapper Ratings in Everyday Life - GeekBriefed

Ever get the first parking spot right by the door? Ever try to avoid one dog’s mess on the sidewalk only to step in something worse? How about the latest episode of Fraggle Rock that you are just dying to talk about how awesome it was? All these moments have the need to be rated. But How?
In Episode #78 of GeekBrief, Cali Lewis was spotted with the first official public use of a Zapper Rating. We applaud her. While we had little idea that our Zapper Rating System or ZRS for you hard-core fans, was so popular we had an inkling.
There was a report about an 8 year old in Hollywood, FL who exclaimed, “Awesome! Today’s school lunch is pizza my favorite. I give it a Zapper rating of 5.0!” Another alleged use was a staff member at the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia HQ, who in a meeting after seeing the lastet whiteboard cross stitch design project commented, “I don’t know Miss Stewart, I would give it a ZRS of 2.0.” Guess how that went over?
Let’s face it, Cali is an early adopter. When she sees something she voices her opinion and people listen. Are you an early adopter too? Then get on board with the Zapper Rating in Everyday Life campaign.
To apply the ZRS:
- Announce the person, place, event, or item you are going to apply the rating to. “Hey look Grandma got me Wayne Newtonopoly, the board game.”
- Decide the rating. Use the scale of 0.0 - 5.0 Zappers with 0.0 the worst and 5.0 the best, what the rating should be.
- Announce your Zapper Rating in the following standard ZRS format: My Zapper Rating 1.0″
Comment here your Zapper Rating Story. We would love to hear it.
Bullets, Guns and Bond Girls? A Photography Review
>>Watch ZAPPERcast :: Through Spyzter’s Lens

Caught in the crossfire, Nar and Dave interviewed Agent 007 of the Still Image, The Spyzter. A photographer with a gift for the dramatic, Khoung Nguyen whose eye is always partially hidden behind the lens, discusses bullet time (aka high speed or stop motion) photography. Does our audience like seeing photos of things blowing up? Of course you do! Khoung also talks about what it’s like putting a gun into a model’s hands. But do photographer’s have a softer side as well? Watch Nar Davis and Dave Kaufman take ZAPPERcast viewers on an enjoyable ride in this high energy episode to find out.

Watch Nar and Dave work with C.Sparks to get a studio put together and have some messages to share along the way. Nothing flashy, here folks. But if you are too lazy to clean up yourself, watch other people do it! That’s always the best way…think of yourself as: The Supervisor.
Did you like today’s that we finally had a show? Well vote then silly. We have more artists coming down the pipe and they are all “visually stimulating.” Please cast a vote for ZAPPERcast.
Where is the next Zappercast?
All we can say is, “WOW!” No, not another World of Warcraft reference, but wow as in Sally Field, wow. “You like us, you really, really like us!”
“So where’s the next show?”, you smartly ask.
Once upon a time….we shot our first show in a beautiful studio, complete with all the essentials, like a camera, lights, and even breathable air. Then during the editing, something wonderful and crazy happened. Ok, wait, we aren’t telling this right.
Let’s back it up, Pulp Fiction style…Nar and I pitched this show to our Executive Producers, a dynamic duo who produce the super popular GeekBrief.tv. The pitch meeting went well and we were given secret access codes to the Geek Intelligence Agency HQ, the location where Geek Brief is shot. Then in one fell swoop the Agency backed up the truck and was gone. With it, went the Zappercast studio! Yikes.
Keep following the serpentine story thread; we now find ourselves with our Executive Producers squirrelled away in their new top secret location and our show looking for a new home base. But don’t worry, Nar’s mom got a new refrigerator and promised him the box for his “little video box show“.
So watch for show two, it’s coming hopefully with fireworks (hint, hint on the date!). We know you want that next show, and we want to deliver. Oh yeah, so what was the wonderful and crazy thing that happened, (Pulp Fiction-ing again), our Executive Producers moved because they quit their day job to bring us more GeekBrief more often. And I think we can all agree having our “fearless leader” leading, is a good thing. Go Cali!
